My Journey with Flowers

Max is a sought after florist in Berkley, CA.  His work features botanical rarities from local growers, nurseries and his own formidable cutting garden. Watch Max create a signature arrangement and learn how he moved from studies in Environmental Science at to floral design, a medium that would allow him to draw from his passion for gardening, sculpture, painting and art and theater history. His designs have graced the pages of Martha Stewart weddings and most recently, In Full Flower, published by Rizzoli.

J is a fourth generation florist and managed a million dollar flower shop, greenhouses and event business for 18 years. Curious how he did it? J shares the inside scoop and stories to inspire you and your creative work with flowers. He is also hosting a hands-on flower jewelry workshop at the event. J is passionate about our industry and has traveled the nation filming flower documentaries that will make you smile. His new program, J Schwanke's Life in Bloom premieres with PBS April 2018.
